We enjoyed wonderful sunny days from the middle of July. However, nights were unusually cold.
If you love wild mushrooms hunting (as we are) you know that mushrooms need warm and rainy nights to grow.
Sure, we knew it. But every morning we took our baskets, put knives in them (you must cut mushrooms with great love) and went hunting,
An hour and a half in the woods were terrific but no mushrooms greeted us for a long time.
This morning I got up early and went for a hunt with great hope. The weather was terrific. I enjoyed fresh air and beauty of the woods and suddenly I saw something I was dreaming about (see below).

Wonderful fresh noble mushrooms were on the right side of my path! I was so glad to meet them! I came closer, took my knife from a basket and bent to cut them very gently.
Something strange happened. I landed on the carpet near my bed. A miracle?!
Lovely image. I love mushrooms, and I’m sure these were delicious. 😉
This brought a huge smile on my face! Thank you! I won’t forget this post! Ha.
I am glad! You encourage me! Thanks you!
Un autre miracle ici … 🙂 http://wp.me/p41U6q-qJ
Dear Julie, I was mistaken about the author of the photo.
I am correcting my mistake. Please forgive me!
C’est tout oublié 😉 Bonne journée JF !
Good day to you. 😉
they just shown up where I live (in Poland)! very handsome couple, it is better off for them that you ended up on your carpet : )))))
😉
What a cute story…of a dream! I hope the padding under your carpet was generous. 🙂
Yes, in my mind it was a thick white carpet. 😉
You aren’t the first person to have mushroom dreams. 🙂 Fun story. –Curt
I love hunting mushrooms.
Some of the most fun I had as a kid was out hunting them. Recently we have started to search for morels in our area, without much luck…
Curt, going in the woods and hunting mushrooms kept me sane after I already
knew what country the USSR was.
What a capture! Beautiful and perfect!
It’s not mine. It’s from Julie. I love it!
I’ve wanted to learn enough to gather my own mushrooms. Your dream was much better than mine.
I started to learn about mushrooms when I was 25 years old. During 15
years before emigration from the USSR mushrooms hunting kept me sane.
Is that what they call a rude awakening?
😉
I always wondered why mushrooms suddenly pop up. Now I know. Thanks. Great post.
I hope that this summer we’ll get many good mushrooms. Best to you!
