“One thing is certain, and I have always known it – the joys of my life
have nothing to do with age”
— May Sarton
I am 83,5 years old.
At 80 (or 90?) we are close to the mental and spiritual peak,
we have a bit of life experience and we still remember
what is love and sex. .
I’d like to stay young in mind and spirit and to enjoy every
minute of my life.
My greatest joy and love is my family.
Reading, photography and playing chess are the greatest pleasures.
Walking and exercising keep me fit.
Politics and economics, international affairs and philosophy,
music and art are of interest to all of us.
Blogging allows to learn daily, to communicate, to share
interests and feelings.
I already found many talented people who are now my good friends. I’ll do my best to
make this blog interesting.
Hello and thanks for the recent visits and follow on my blog. I really like your positive Outlook and look forward to seeing more. You too have a new follower 🙂
Hope we’ll cross our paths many times. Best to you!
Hi, I love the sentiments you have expressed here. Looking forward to following your writing.
You have 675 posts available now. 😉 Enjoy!
JF, Well, we finally get to meet. Another blogger told me about your blog and said I should come and visit. It looks like you found me before I could find you. We may be half way around the world from each other but it doesn’t stop us from conversing. From what I’ve read so far you have and have had a very interesting life. I read your story about robbers and hope you don’t mind if I reblog it. How you weaved this story was great, the message at the end was…………well, “perfect”. I’ve been trying to share this message but not to many people get it. Thank you and God bless.

Steve, Anjali gave me a link to your blog. I started exploring it but had one question
in my mind: “Why does he live in Russia?” Now I see that you know what is real life
about and I am very glad. Your introduction to my story is perfect. Thank you for reblog.
Best to you and everyone you love!
You are so very welcome. It was an honor. Russia changes a person as you know. I’ve grown so much here. It’s hard but life without hardship isn’t life. When I read your story it showed more than just what happened, it showed me the heart of wonderful babushkas, the true heroes of the USSR.
After graduation I worked two years in a textile mill. I learned there to respect
people and I also learned how they suffered.
Amen.
Thank you for choosing to follow my blog. I’m looking forward to getting to know you through your posts. Blessings, Natalie 🙂

Welcome to the blogging world. I’m not sure of your name but it will come with time I’m sure. I’ve been at this blogging thing for two years now and love it. I’ve made a lot of friends all over the world. This is one of two blogs I’ve started, mainly to share, through my photography, the wonders of the Pacific Northwest, my present home. I have bookmarked your blog and hope to stop by now & then. Thanks for stopping by my site recently. Have a great day! – Bob
I hope we’ll cross our paths many times. Jeff
Thank you for the like of my posting and welcome to the world of blogging. Your postings are inspiring and I seek to follow you words of wisdom. Cheers!
Be careful! Words might look beautiful, might sound beautiful but …;)
I have nominated you for One Lovely Blog Award. Your blog is so warm and welcoming, extremely varied and interesting. There is a logo you can put on your blog and a suggestion to do a post about it, if you like. I believe this is something that bloggers do to recognise blogs they like. Please let me know if you accept so I can get things over to you.
Thank you very much for the nomination but this blog is a no award blog.
I explained my reasons long time ago. However, I would appreciate very much
if you reblogged posts you like or gave an introduction (or links) to this
blog in your posts. Best to you!
I’ll try to do that JF. I did look for, but couldn’t find, anything about whether you accept awards or not. I must have missed it somewhere. Sorry for that, but you do have a full blog, with so many pages of interesting things.
Whatever you do is ok. No obligations. 😉
I love your blog and have nominated you for the Lovely Blog award. Keep up the positivity, love it! All the best, Cassie.
Thank you, Cassie! I appreciate the nomination but my blog is AWARD FREE blog.
However, I value very much reblogs and links to my blog. Best to you!
Hello! I’m delighted to see you are following my blog! My heritage is Latvian, I hear many stories from my parents about the “homeland” you can probably relate to. I am especially impressed that you are blogging!! I can’t even get my parents to entertain the thought of a computer never mind navigating a blog (I can barely do that myself). You have succeeded in making your blog interesting. 🙂
Latvia is a very beautiful country! I was there 6 times and enjoyed every minute.
I don’t think that your parents are retired system analysts as I am. Best to you!
No, but I’m still super impressed!
😉
Thanks so much for following and stopping by my blog and your visit.. appreciate it and followed back. Love your photos and looking forward to more posts from you! Heres a little more about me if you want to check it out:) http://oreosandspiltmilk.wordpress.com/about/ hope you enjoyed my blog.

Dear Lucinda, thank you for the nomination! However, this blog
is a no award blog. I’ll appreciate reblogs or links to this
blog. Best to you!
As a young 71 year old, I totally agree with your sentiments, JF. I’ve hit the follow button. Thanks for following me. –Curt
Some young people are wise! We’ll meet more after my vacation.
Best to you!
Hi JF. Hmm, Isn’t that Pocono Manor?
Ok, I cheated. I looked at that picture and thought, that looks like a golf course. So I searched your blog.
I too have seen some lovely golf courses (and some ugly ones too). The former tend to let the land be, without a lot of “managing” besides mowing the grass. Pocono looks a nice place for your strolls.
Did they play golf or any other games in midmiocene? 😉
Not that I know of. 😉
Hello! You have very beautiful and interesting blog! Also I am delighted with your operation! I enjoy reading! Blog really interesting! The Best Regards!
Spasibo! Best to you!
Hello, Wanted you to know that I’ve nominated your blog – Very Inspiring Blogger Award – hope that you will accept.
Thank you for nomination but… the blog is a NON-AWARD blog. BTW, I liked
your analysis of US-Russia relations very much. Please send it to Kerry!
Which post exactly, lots of times I mask my message so it’s not just in the words spoken but what the mind links to them.
I mean this one: https://hague6185.wordpress.com/2014/12/12/is-nuclear-war-looming-over-humanity/
Okay, sorry about the slow reply, don’t like the new way they are doing comments on wordpress. It was much easier before.
Thanks for visiting my blog and for following. I am honored you have chosen to do so. Look forward to seeing more on your blog as well!
It’s my pleasure to discover you. Hope we will cross our paths many times.

You have a nice and interesting blog. – https://migrantpen.wordpress.com/bookshelf/
Thank you.
I love your quote. I am 53 years of age and my two best friends (besides my 3 sisters) are 84 and 91. We share similar interests, many laughs and a special bond that transcends age. You sound wonderful 🌻
I have at least to SOUND wonderful! ; Please give my regards to your
friends. I enjoyed your post about your Mom’s driving!
Thank you. Not quite as amusing and a bit daunting if you were in the passenger seat! I noticed you are from Queens. I was born in Jackson Heights and have many fond memories of life on 73rd Street. Although we moved when I was only seven, I had a wonderful next door neighbor named Mary Balducci who was like a second mother to me. I never forgot her. My next story is how I found her nearly forty years later, living in the very same house. I can indeed say with confidence you can go back again.
It is extremely rare that you can go back and find what was there before!
Time changes everybody and everything!
Your blog is beautiful and inspiring! And can’t everyone use more of that? I look forward to following you! 🙂
You’re welcome! Please contribute as much as you are willing. Best to you!
Hi JF! Your blog is great! I shall look forward to more. Thank you for following me!
My pleasure!
Expressing ourselves can happen in many ways. I enjoy writing for the myriad of benefits I receive from this form of expression. I believe writing makes me a better person when I’m in social functions.
From the few blogs I have read from you this far, I can tell you I’m happy I stumbled across your postings. (Actually, I believe you found me and I noticed you) However our encounter happened, I am happy to take the time to let you know, your words and experience, have meaning for me and most likely others (as I’m noticing in comments and replies) who come across your works. Thank you. Please keep on writing and expressing your life.
I will. Best to you!
Thank you so much for following and stopping by my blog. I’m definitely excited to read more of what you share!
Let’s cross our paths many times! Best to you!
