Life’s colors

What makes things memorable is that they are meaningful, significant, colorful.

Queens gallery

Every photo you take communicates something about a moment in time – a brief slice of time of where you were, who you were with, and what you were doing.

Kevin Systrom

I would add to the quote above: “…what you thought and/or felt at that moment”.

Today I added the page “Queens gallery”. You can see it HERE. Click on the first photo and you’ll see all of them in proper sizes and colors.

I mentioned several times in my posts that we can find beauty everywhere. It is inside us and outside. There are wonderful sunrises and sunsets everywhere. There are beautiful plants, flowers, animals, birds, parks, wonderful buildings in every big city or a small town.

Beautiful nature and beautiful people are everywhere!

I hope that you’ll like something in my photos shot in Queens.

Please take a look and let me know what you liked.

Thank you!

Build wealth and happiness!

We have no more right to consume happiness without producing it than to consume wealth without producing it.

Everyone needs it

Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul.

For women only

The only time a woman really succeeds in changing a man is when he is a baby.

The weather and my mood have little connection. I have my foggy and my fine days within me; my prosperity or misfortune has little to do with the matter.

A quote about “truly powerful people”.

“Truly powerful people have great humility. They do not try to impress, they do not try to be influential. They simply are. People are magnetically drawn to them. They are most often very silent and focused, aware of their core selves. … They never persuade, nor do they use manipulation or aggressiveness to get their way. They listen. If there is anything they can offer to assist you, they offer it; if not, they are silent.”
― Sanaya Roman, Living with Joy: Keys to Personal Power and Spiritual Transformation

I read this quote and thought: “How many such people we have among leaders of all countries? Is it possible to choose such people to represent people’s interests?”

What do you think?

Only one quote about laws.

It will be of little avail to the people that the laws are made by men of their own choice if the laws be so voluminous that they cannot be read, or so incoherent that they cannot be understood.

One quote about universe.

“There is more stupidity than hydrogen in the universe, and it has a longer shelf life.”

Frank Zappa

Okay, I've done that stupid trick of sticking my paw up in the air. Now where's that tasty treat you promised me?

I know, I know!

After I published yesterday the short post “Do you believe in evolution? Our relative?” one of my followers (M-R) asked me to clarify my beliefs. I do it by reblogging this post.

Quote about poverty and wealth.

“In a country well governed, poverty is something to be ashamed of.

In a country badly governed, wealth is something to be ashamed of.”

Confucius

Success and Happiness.

Many years ago my son told me: “Father, I wanted very much to get an interesting and rewarding job, to find a soulmate, to buy a house, to have children and make them happy, to have good friends. Now I have it all but I feel depressed. Why?”

I answered: “You are working too hard and you have not enough time to love yourself, your family and friends. You have no time to love nature, music and art, to relax. You should drastically cut your working week and enjoy what you have. This will make you happy.”

My son said: “Father, if I follow your advice I will earn only half of what I get today.”

I suggested: “Talk to your wife and ask her opinion. She loves you and she is very smart”.

Two weeks passed. Then my daughter-in-law told me that my son arranged to work three days per week.

Very soon both of them and their children were very, very happy.

Later my son started to work five days per week again but he never worked overtime.

Success is getting and achieving what you want. Happiness is wanting and being content with what you get.
