Every human longs for peace and love.
For me nature is usually in many colors and it would be easy to show just one photo.
However, it is different in black and white. So I decided to show several photos. .
I am watching you!
For many decades I photographed interesting places, scenes, people, etc.
Photography for me is a very important hobby, an essential part of my life.
Very often I meet somebody or something and make a shot. During processing I try to understand better what attracted me and to express meaning of the shot..
Below is a picture of a stranger I met in the morning this summer in Pocono Manor.
What a model!
What a proud beautiful profile!
This stranger loves walking and knows that walking is very good for health.
I hope you know it too.
Below are two images of the same photo.
One is in black and white, another – in color.
Please let me know which one you like more.
Yesterday on my way home from a daily walk I heard divine music.
I could not believe it as my hearing is very, very bad.
But then I noticed that several people stopped near me. They were looking up.
I could see joy on their faces.
What a concert!
I took out my Canon and photographed all performers.
Look at them!
Below are my pictures for Nancy Merrill’s “A PHOTO A WEEK CHALLENGE: VIEW”.
From the website of Maude White (http://bravebirdpaperart.com/artist-biography):
“Maude White is a papercutting artist living in the Hudson Valley. She loves the great strength, yet delicacy of paper. Her work is done on the macro as well as the micro level. Every cut is exact and meaningful. She enjoys playing with positive and negative space to create fantastic scenes and stories. She considers herself a craftsperson and has a deep respect for the paper she transforms. In pursuing her work, she hopes to make visible to others the immense world of possibilities that every piece of paper holds.”

Always remember that your thoughts, your words and your attitude decide how you live. Be active, loving and optimistic! Happy Holidays!
Live has many ups and downs. Even in the depth of depression I remembered the words of a Russian short story writer, journalist, human rights activist and humanitarian Vladimir Korolenko:
“Man is born for happiness as a bird is born to fly”.
These words helped me to overcome all problems in my lives in the Soviet Union and in US. But happiness is not possible without love. You must love yourself and it gives you immense capacity to love others.
New Year is coming. I wish that your life was a happy flight full of love!
I was lucky to find the blog of Alois Absenger (aloisabsenger.wordpress.com) soon after I started my blog. From that time I enjoy his photos.
Alois places his photos in different categories: landscapes, art meets nature, mammals, birds, insects, still life, etc.
Today I received his permission to post three of his photos at once to show diversity of his work. Then there was a big problem to choose what to post. In the process I understood that whatever I choose will not be good enough, that the only way to understand and enjoy Alois’ work is to go to his blog. So photos below is only an introduction to the blog.
I hope that Alois approves my choice. Below are three photos.
