Waves were kissing…

Yesterday night I was walking barefooted along the shore and warm gentle waves were kissing whatever they were able to reach.

After it I could not stop trying to express something that I felt. Results are below.

Do you like them? If yes what is your favorite?

What do you feel?

Is there anything you want to tell me?

Please let me know.

Thank you!

Connection after death (Wassily Kandinsky – David Paladin).

I decided to reblog this old post to introduce this extraordinary true story to new followers and guests.
I would be very happy if anyone suggested explanation of all events.

PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS

Yesterday I published a post about life and quotes of Wassily Kandinsky.
If you missed it please read it now HERE.
Then read an incredible but true story below.
*************************************************************************************************
Wassily Kandinsky, the great Russian painter, died on December 13, 1944 in Neuilly sur-Seine. At the same time in a German concentration camp of hunger and torture was dying American soldier David Paladin, white-skinned son of a missionary and Navajo Indian …
David Paladin was born in 1926. He spent his early years on the Navajo reservation near Chinle, Arizona. From an early childhood the boy showed violent temper. He kept running away from his family and soon found himself in a penal colony in Oklahoma.
With great difficulty he learned cartography. In this specialty he was drafted into the army. In Europe he was wounded and ended up in a German concentration camp, where experienced all the horrors of imprisonment.

My latest paintings

Two digital paintings below I created yesterday. They are unique as I am unable to recreate them (a program I use has no tutorials and so I experiment with it until I like some results).

I ask you to look at the paintings and let me know if you like any of them and what, in your opinion, they express.

Thank you!

PLACES

Beach, mountain, forest, or somewhere else entirely?

I thought immediately that walls of our apartment in Queens tell a lot about us, our friends, relatives and places we visited

We have three paintings of our friend artist Vladimir Ryklin, several other paintings we like (including two paintings of our granddaughters) and many my photos of different places.

Below are examples what you can see on the walls of our apartment.

Two paintings

Before playing chess with my friend I photographed two paintings in his apartment (see pictures below).

I like both of them and hope that you’ll like them too.

However, I was unable to find out who is the author of the painting “Fire Within”. If any of you know it please tell me.

More Salvador Dali’s quotes +

I am working on a second post about Gala and Salvador Dali. I am reading what I found about them and trying to understand what really motivated both.

I’ll tell you soon about their relationship from my point of view (based on available information).

Some people asked me why it is necessary to know about lives of famous people.

My answer is simple: we must learn about people as much as possible because it can decide our fates. Today one person can be responsible for what happens with millions or billions people.

Just remember the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962. At that time we were very close to the nuclear war.

Not long ago we learned that relationships between men and women can have very serious effect on the fate of our country (remember the presidential candidate Edwards and the head of CIA general Petraeus).

When I read today about people who want to become President of my country I ask myself: “Why do they think that they are capable? What motivates them? How can we decide who is the best person for the job?”

********************************************************************************************************

I am not strange. I am just not normal.

A true artist is not one who is inspired, but one who inspires others.

One day it will have to be officially admitted that what we have christened reality is an even greater illusion than the world of dreams.

People love mystery, and that is why they love my paintings.

It is not necessary for the public to know whether I am joking or whether I am serious, just as it is not necessary for me to know it myself.

Let my enemies devour each other.

Art of Konstantin Razumov

Some time ago I published a post “THE WOMAN WHO LEFT YOU”.

I explained in the post how I found paintings of Konstantin Razumov and gave a link to them.

Below is one of his paintings.

I hope that you will use the link above to read my short post, to enjoy Razumov’s paintings and a clip of music in the post.

There is also a wonderful poem in the post. It tells about spirit of beautiful women of Konstantin’s paintings. The poem is in Russian.

Here is an excerpt from it in English (! hope that my translation did not distort the spirit of the poem):

“The woman who left you will not

Remember your arms around her.

She will be older on one more loss.

But she still has her two wings.”

Express yourself?! (Part 1)

TODAY IT IS EASY!

Today is a special day!

Today is our friend’s birthday!

As usually, we’ll go to a Japanese restaurant and express ourselves in many wonderful artistic ways.

There will be speeches, poems, songs and beautiful combinations of everything the restaurant has to offer.

In the meantime to keep my appetite on the high alert I decided to express myself in paintings below.

I hope very much that you’ll like them. If not please don’t tell it to me before we return from the restaurant.

I was about to publish this post when I remembered that “Express Yourself” is a photo challenge.

So what can I say?

I always was a working girl like the one below.

I wonder if…

Several minutes ago Cee let me know that she featured my post YOUNG, MATURE, PROTECTOR in her post HERE. The protector and I are very happy!

I wonder if I should tell you a true story of healing by hands.

While I was considering all pros and cons I decided to make some digital paintings.

Below are three new paintings.

Do you like any of them?

If yes what is your favorite?

By the way, would you like to read a story about healing by hands?

Unique paintings?!

After publishing the story “ULTIMATUM” I decided to check further how my first digital paintings (made in January and February of 2014) look after processing with the kaleidoscope effect.

I want to stress one more time that before January 2014 I’ve never painted anything and I believed that I had no chance to learn how to paint.

However, I met many good artists in different countries and some of them highly valued my opinions of their art (there are still very polite and patient people).

Tonight I can proudly state that all my paintings are unique. For 80 years of my lives I produced less than 20 paintings. So I think that collectors must pay a lot for each of them.

My discovery of the painting and photo editing program with the kaleidoscope effect allowed me to produce more interesting unique paintings in seconds.

Below are kaleidoscope paintings based on my 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th paintings.

Please let me know which of them you like. Thank you!

About managing weight

Recently I published a story about a new very effective nice way to manage weight.

If you missed it you can read it HERE.

Below are two photos.

GOING TO FLY by JF

GOING TO FLY                                  by JF

On the first of them you can see a girl who already stopped thinking about art and losing weight. She now learns flying.

LOVING ART AND FOOD by JF

LOVING ART AND FOOD                                                 by JF

Girls on the second picture achieved wonderful results in losing weight but they equally love food and art and they decided to continue to meditate on both.

By the way, did you take a good look at my paintings on the page “My paintings and tests”?

They can help to lose or to gain weight, to stop insomnia and to lift your mood. Hurry, if you missed them!

Sharing news and thoughts

1. Creativity and learning make people happy.

2. During my morning walk I saw in the distance three princesses, zoomed  and shot them (not with a gun). See the photo below.

3. I added several posts to the page “Travel”.

Among them are reblogs of posts of very talented bloggers Antonio Violi (SIRACUSA, ORTIGIA) and Victor Tribunsky (PETRA IN JORDAN).

Both posts have wonderful photos and stories.

I will add more posts to this page this week.

4. So far I made all my digital paintings using a paint program on my PC. But a couple of days ago I found that there are many other free programs for painting and photo editing. Today I am starting to learn one of them. Be ready for new paintings (it’s not a threat!).

5. I am going to add more paintings to the page “My paintings and tests”. Hopefully, all of you will test YOUR KNOWLEDGE OF PAINTING AND PAINTINGS.

Why do I love Pocono Manor?

You already saw many photos of Pocono Manor’s houses, views and animals here.

Is it possible to love a place so much to return to it for many years?

Believe me it is.

It is possible if you can walk to the Pocono Manor Inn every morning and see a view like this one:

A MORNING VIEW by JF

It is possible if you enjoy two paintings below:

It is possible if you can go in the library (usually there is nobody there) and find many precious books of long forgotten wonderful authors.

Add to all these reasons sweet memories of wonderful times here with family and friends.

I am sure that you understand that my love to this place grows with each year.

Art of Nino Orlandi.

A year ago Katie Hosmer posted the following article:

NINO ORLANDI WOODEN SCULPTURE.

I was unable to find Nino Orlandi biography.

However, I found a video that shows many not only his wooden sculptures but

also other sculptures and paintings.

You can see everything HERE.

Gustav Klimt.

Let’s start with a short excerpt from Wikipedia:

“In 2006, the 1907 portrait, Adele Bloch-Bauer I, was purchased for the Neue Galerie New York by Ronald Lauder reportedly for US $135 million, surpassing Picasso‘s 1905 Boy With a Pipe (sold May 5, 2004 for $104 million), as the highest reported price ever paid for a painting.

On August 7, 2006, Christie’s auction house announced it was handling the sale of the remaining four works by Klimt that were recovered by Maria Altmann and her co-heirs after their long legal battle against Austria… The portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer II was sold at auction in November 2006 for $88 million, the third-highest priced piece of art at auction at the time.[24] The Apple Tree I (ca. 1912) sold for $33 million, Birch Forest (1903) sold for $40.3 million,[25] and Houses in Unterach on Lake Atter (1916) sold for $31 million.”

I wanted to introduce to you Gustav Klimt several weeks ago but only today I found a website that I like very much. It tells about events when Klimt lived, about his life and allows you to look at his paintings (by clicking on each of them).

Please explore the website HERE.

Now, there were two portraits of Adele Bloch-Bauer by Klimt. Who was she?

You can find an answer HERE.

An artist and a sculptor Georgy Kurasov.

There were always many talented people in Russia.

They appeared despite wars, revolutions, mass repressions, famines, terrible conditions of living.

Georgy Kurasov is one of them. Please read about his life and see his art below.

ART OF KURASOV

Artist and sculptor Bruno Torfs.

Bruno Torfs’ life is amazing. He traveled a lot, created many beautiful paintings and then drastically changed his direction.

You can read about Bruno and see his Art and Sculpture Garden HERE.

And you can see both his sculptures and his paintings HERE.

However, life is unpredictable. In 2009 Bruno Torfs and his family were in terrible danger.

They survived but their home and his gallery were completely destroyed.

You can read about it and to see that Bruno did not surrender HERE.

He restored his home and the Garden. The Garden is open to visitors again!

Art of Michael and Inessa Garmash.

Michael and Inessa Garmash are ukrainian artists. Some people believe that they are the best Romantic Impressionists of our days.

Please read about them and see some of their paintings HERE.

You can see much more and slowly, day by day enjoy their paintings below:
