About wisdom

The saddest aspect of life right now is that science gathers knowledge faster than society gathers wisdom.

~Isaac Asimov

It is easier to find a score of men wise enough to discover the truth than to find one intrepid enough, in the face of opposition, to stand up for it.

~A.A. Hodge

Wisdom consists of the anticipation of consequences.

 ~Norman Cousins

Wisdom comes by disillusionment.

Wisdom outweighs any wealth.

~Sophocles

For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.

There is no wisdom without love!

Several quotes of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

This post is relevant today especially for many black leaders in our country who incite hatred and divisiveness instead of following wisdom of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS

Our scientific power has outrun our spiritual power. We have guided missiles and misguided men.

We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.

When we let freedom ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God’s children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual, ‘Free at last! Free at last! Thank God Almighty, we are free at last!’

Means we use must be as pure as the ends we seek.

Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.

Ways to become a genius

I did not plan to publish another post today.

However, I got an email from one of my friends with many fascinated facts in it.

One of them was especially interested. It was about Derek Amato.

There was only a short sentence about him in the email. I wanted to verify the fact and to know more about what happened to the guy.

So I went to Google and found.that BRAIN DAMAGE UNLOCKS GENIUS.

Now I understand why so many healthy people (including some of our leaders) behave extremely stupidly later. Apparently, they need blows to their heads.

Several quotes about wisdom.

I think it’s wise to reblog this post now. We badly need wisdom today.

It’s not my fault and I need your help.

My friend sent me a quiz and I answered 12 scientific questions correctly (plus my gender and age).

Now I am curious how you will do this quiz.

It’s not my fault!

You know that there are many photo challenges running on the Word Press now.

Two weeks ago my wife brought to our suit two quests. They were resting on the sofa and I photographed them.

Now I don’t know in what photo challenge to enter this photo.

Should it be “Cee’s Odd Ball Photo Challenge” or “Frayed” or “Dialogue” or “A Beautiful Girl”?

Please let me know your extremely valuable opinion!

Thank you!

Edgar Cayce – The Sleeping Prophet.

On March 30, 2014 I posted THREE SIMPLE QUESTIONS.

One of them was: “Who was Edgar Cayce and where did he live?”

Only my friend Painting Pandit gave a brief answer.

Edgar Cayce is not a legend. What he did confirmed for years by a group of people.

Please read about him HERE.

You can get even better knowledge of his life and enjoy very much reading books about him.

Here are Edgar Cayce’s SEVEN PROPHECIES THAT CAME TRUE.

You might be interested in his prophecies that are still to come and in many his readings.

In conclusion, I want to introduce to you several Edgar Cayce’s quotes:

“Dreams are today’s answers to tomorrow’s questions.”

“It is thought and feeling which guides the universe, not deeds.”

“When ye are prepared for a thing, the opportunity to use it presents itself.”

“You can never lose anything that really belongs to you, and you can’t keep that which belongs to someone else.”

I know, I know!

After I published yesterday the short post “Do you believe in evolution? Our relative?” one of my followers (M-R) asked me to clarify my beliefs. I do it by reblogging this post.
